When people think of libraries, they often think of librarians—but Michigan libraries are powered by many different kinds of staff working together every day.

Library teams can include circulation staff, shelvers/pages, technology specialists, program coordinators, communications staff, outreach workers, custodians, administrators, interns, volunteers, sometimes even social workers, and more.

From helping you find a book, fixing the printer, planning storytime, delivering outreach services, updating technology, processing materials, or welcoming you at the front desk—every role helps make the library experience possible.
