Happy Father's Day to our Veteran Fathers, Grandfathers, and father figures who answered the call to serve our nation while also serving their families with love, strength and dedication.
Veteran fathers have carreid two great responsiblities - protecting our freedoms and guidng the next generation. Their sacrifices, leadership and example have helped build strong families, strong communities, and a strong nation.
We express our heartfelt gratitutde to all veteran dads, past and present. Thank you for your service, your sacrifice and your unwavering commitment to both family and country. May God Bless our Veteran Fathers and the families who stand beside them.

Mt pleasant city has the order forms, as well as Fairview City. As always, we need names of our North Sanpete veterans.

Changes are happening quickly. First order of engraved bricks are on their way as of Monday. We have rocks, cement, dirt getting smoothed out, everyone drive by at about 700 South state mt pleasant and see for yourself! We are still taking brick orders until we run out of space, order forms are at Fairview City Hall and Mt Pleasant City Hall, and always send us your veteran names. Sanpete HappeningsMt. 2LT Clyde Wix Rigby, enlisted as Aviation Cadet in US Army Air Corps March 1942. He was selected for pilot training July 1942. He was commissioned a 2LT April 1943. He trained at various places in the US. He received a letter from the Army Air Force Office Commanding, Office of Intelligence Director to 2nd LT Clyde W. Rigby: “your crew has completed 100% record of attainment in combat intelligence training. You are commander over the members of your crew further teaching them in sense of leadership and responsibility, which is evidence of your record.” He left New York October 1943 to the European Theatre. He was pilot of B24 bomber, 392nd Bomber Group, Heavy, 577th Bomber Squadron, stationed out of London, England. Their mission was to bomb industrial places in Germany. On Jan 4, 1944, his plane loaded with bombs failed to return. He died piloting B24 Bomber "War Horse"; presumably died somewhere over Denmark, and only has a cenotaph in the Fairview Cemetery. He is on the Tablets of the Missing at Cambridge American Cemetery, Cambridge, England. His parents received a telegram from US War Department on January 4, 1944 that 2LT Rigby’s plane failed to return from its bombing mission that morning. September 13, 1945 his parents were notified that he was missing in action.
