Central Michigan Rotaract

Central Michigan Rotaract CMU Rotaract is the college version of Rotary International. It is an international service club that Why Rotaract? What about Rotaract makes it unique?

There are several different campus organizations with a focus on community service, so you may be asking yourself why join Rotaract? Rotaract is about helping people. If we see a need in the community, our school, or within our group we have the means and drive to address it. Community service is at the heart of our organization, but not at the expense of serving our campus and serving each other.

Rotaract is also about developing leadership and professional skills. Everyone involved in Rotaract at Central Michigan has an opportunity to step into a campus leadership position if they so desire, including but not limited to officer and committee chair positions. Everyone also has the opportunity to interact with Rotary leaders and develop skills that will help them be successful professional adults.

Rotarian Paul Siers from the Mt Pleasant Club passed away this morning from cancer. He was an incredible man and Rotarian. He leaves a hole not only in this community, but in his church, his friends and family, and the world. He was the chair of International Service for the club and traveled to Zambia when we had water wells put in. He spoke at Rotaract on several occasions. He hired the CMU club to harvest berries at his home, and paid you for your work. We will miss him. He was a man without guile.
