City of Mount Pleasant Park & Recreation Department These taxes are paid whether or not individuals participant in programs, or use the department's facilities.

The City of Mount Pleasant Parks and Recreations Department's mission is to enhance the quality of life for the Mount Pleasant community through a well planned and maintained system of public parks, facilities and recreation programs. The Department will continually strive to offer a balanced park and recreation system recognizing the need for both active and passive recreation including the preservation of the natural environment. Through proper vision, the Parks and Recreation Department will offer public parks, facilities and programs that meet the leisure needs for the citizens of Mount Pleasant in the present and in the future. Non-Resident Policy: The City of Mount Pleasant residents make a significant contribution to the financing and operation of the Mount Pleasant Park & Recreation Department through city property taxes. To ensure equity, non-residents (those living outside the Mount Pleasant city limits) will be charged a non-resident fee in addition to the program fee.

There’s still time to sign up for our 5th & 6th Grade Youth Basketball League for boys and girls! Registration has been extended to Wednesday, October 28th!

We’re excited to kick off the season this November and December!

Registration Fees:
• Residents: $20
• Non-Residents: $25
• Payment accepted by cash or check.

Return completed registration forms to the Parks & Recreation Office at City Hall.

Office Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM

Time is running out! Today, Friday, October 23, is the LAST DAY to register for our 5th & 6th Grade Youth Basketball League for boys and girls!

🏀 Don’t miss out on a great season of basketball this November-December.

🏀 IT’S BASKETBALL SEASON! 🏀

The countdown is on! There’s just a little time left to sign up for our 5th & 6th Grade Youth Basketball League! Boys and girls, don’t miss your chance to hit the court, build skills, and have fun this season!

Registration closes THIS FRIDAY, October 23!

Return your registration form to the Mount Pleasant Parks & Recreation office at City Hall. We’re open Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, and have an after-hours drop box located in the alley on the building.

Games and practices will be held at Cottrell Gym, with the season starting in November!

We’re looking forward to a great season!

Our registration form was sent to elementary schools on our school district, middle school, the homeschool department, Mt. Pleasant Christian School, and Legacy Christian Academy.

🏈 Youth Flag Football Games Tomorrow!

Tomorrow, Saturday, October 17, our 1st–4th Grade Youth Flag Football games will be held at East Lake Park!

🥶 Participants, please dress warmly! It tends to be about 10° cooler out at East Lake Park than in town, so be sure to bundle up and dress in layers.

We look forward to a great morning of football!
