At Fathers for Fathers, we start by strengthening men in good company. Last fall another epic hike rallied a group of men to meet the mountain in remote Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Canada. Here, first time hiker Andy Reid reflects on the shock and awe of the journey, the mountain, and brotherhood in the wild.

Iron sharpens iron. Men who walk together gain strength together. As another one of the hikers, said: “Do the hard things. The hard things will shape you. They will reignite the divine and the sacred masculine within.”
