Many thanks to Rotary District 6000 Iowa for the community service grant project to help make this possible!

We are excited about this project! thanks to all of our Rotary partners (Rotary District 6000 Iowa and Mount Pleasant Evening Rotary) plus all the other partners who have made this storywalk possible!!!

We've been working on something pretty great - and we're finally ready to announce it!

Join us on Saturday November 15, at 10AM to celebrate the opening of our new StoryWalk® located at the Oakland Mills Nature Center! We'll meet at the Nature Center for a brief welcome, and afterwards you will be able to go outside and stroll through the story.

This project was made possible by the Noon Rotary Mount Pleasant Iowa, Mount Pleasant Evening Rotary, Rotary District 6000 Iowa, Henry County Conservation Department, Henry County Health Center Foundation, and SEIRBOR (Mt. Pleasant Council Realtors).

THANKS TO THOSE WHO DONATED BLOOD YESTERDAY! We registered 15 donors and collected 12 whole blood, 2 units from doubles and a plasms for a total of 15. Luckily, deferrals were low, but day-of cancelations and no-shows really impacted the possibility of earning the grant for Lincoln Elementary.....
If anyone is interested in donating at the Burlington center in the next week or so, ImpactLife will credit those donations toward our blood drive (code: 2876) so we can still earn the Life Savings Grant for the school. DONATE AND GIVE THE GIFT OF LIFE!

This was such a fun project!! And...drumroll please....
We can't wait to show you our newest Storybook Walk Project with the Mount Pleasant Iowa Public Library and Henry County Conservation Department. Thanks to Mount Pleasant Evening Rotary and Rotary District 6000 Iowa for partnering with us on it. Once we have it completed, we'll be sure to post it for our Facebook friends!

Don't forget - we need your help!! We are collecting diapers for The Family Connection of Henry and Washington Counties. Thanks to all the businesses allowing us to set up drop-off sites! Last year we collected about 9,000 individual diapers...how many can we collect this year?!

Highway Clean up is this Saturday morning, September 27th!!

If you've ever wanted to see what Rotary is all about, we invite you to join us! We will be leaving from the Hy-Vee parking lot at 7:45am. If you would like to eat breakfast or grab a coffee, come earlier. We start early and we will get done early. Plenty of time for all your regular Saturday activities, it usually takes us about 1.5 hours.

Thanks for your help with this Community Service project!
