Andrew Logan Beck EMS and Fire Scholarship Fund On January 22, 2022, the community of Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania lost a dedicated and caring EMT and Firefighter, son, and friend.

The ALB Scholarship Fund was created for local high school students and adults to be able to attend Emergency Medical Technician, Paramedic and Firefighter training certification class by eliminating the financial concern. Andrew Logan Beck at the age of 23, passed away. Through this tragedy the Andrew Logan Beck EMS and Fire Scholarship Fund was created. Co-Founders Sheri Miller (Andrew's Mom) an

d Kevin Hendrick created the scholarship to continue the hard work and passion Andy had and showed in all he did. Andy loved to give back to the community any way he could. The scholarship fund will help local high school students, volunteer firefighters, and residents attend Emergency Medical Technician training, Paramedic training and Fire Fighter training without worrying about the financial burden. Andrews love for public safety will never be matched by anyone in this field. Andy enjoyed seeing resident's he helped at a local store, or a fundraiser Andy was at helping with. As we grow as a scholarship fund, we hope to be able to provide scholarships to multiple students each class session. Andrew's legacy will remain strong and vibrant as we support students entering the Public Safety field. Last night we had the honor of providing and putting a brand new AED in service for Hecla VFD Station 88! Over 20 active members attended the training on this vital piece of equipment. The AED will be placed on one of their fire trucks and accessible to firefighters on all fire calls, as well as when assisting Medic 10 and Mutual Aid on EMS calls.
