🚫 MYTH-BUSTING FRIDAY 🚫

Myth: "Students with disabilities are better off learning separately from their peers."

Fact: Students with disabilities often thrive when they learn alongside their peers in inclusive classrooms with the supports they need. Inclusive education can improve academic outcomes, social connections, communication skills, and a sense of belonging for all students.

✅ Inclusion benefits everyone.

✅ Friendships and social connections grow through shared experiences.

✅ Every student deserves to be welcomed, valued, and supported.

As a new school year begins, let's remember that disability is a natural part of human diversity, and every student belongs.

Thank you, SC Johnson, A Family Company, for helping us reach over 600 students and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities through our Building Skills toward Independence programs last year! Your generous grants, totaling $12,500, directly funded three vital programs that help students and young adults express their needs to their caregivers, school teams, and employers, so our advocates can help them and their families get the services they need at school, at work, and in the community!
