Would you like to volunteer to build our 33rd home?

We build every Saturday, except holiday weekends, from 8:00am to 2:00pm. We provide all of the tools, water, snacks and lunch. All volunteers need to wear closed toed shoes and be at least 18 years old.

Please contact Lisa Diener at 319-931-0656 and let her know if you will be there on a Saturday. This will ensure we have enough food for lunch.

It takes a village to set trusses.

House #33 - Build Day #3, today we installed the trusses, the rest of the OSB in the shed, and started the fascia.

A HUGE thank you to Joe Brown, owner of Total Connection Electric, for volunteering his time to bring and run his telehandler and assist us in setting the trusses.

Mt. Pleasant Lumber came through AGAIN by delivering materials first thing.

We were also joined today by a group of skilled volunteers from Integrity Builders out of New London.

Thank you to the Mount Pleasant High School class.. IJag for the delicious treats.

We truely couldn't do this without everyone of them. We are so blessed to work with such awesome businesses in our community.

House #33 - Build Day #2, today we hung the OSB, installed the top plates and marked the layout of the trusses.

We want to thank the Mt. Pleasant Correctional Facility for allowing the inmates to help make a positive impact on our community, to Mt. Pleasant Lumber for delivering the materials and to our beloved Cookie Ladies for the delicious treats.

We couldn't do what we do without all of you.

House #33 - Build Day #1, we are so thankful to everyone who volunteered their time today. A HUGE shout out to Integrity Builders for bringing a great crew to lend us a hand. We set all of the walls, added in the necessary studs and installed all of the top plates.

Thank you to the Cookie Ladies who did not disappoint.

Next Saturday, May 9th, we will be installing the OSB. If you can swing a hammer we'd love for you to join us.
