We got a little surprise last night!

I can’t even explain how wild yesterday was for us, but of course the day ended with a kitten being brought over by our neighbor 🄲 I am going to share the full story on our Patreon (so join now and get behind the scenes stuff)

The poor little girl was all alone, with a big wound, a starving little body, and bugs all over her šŸ’”

She got all cleaned up at the vet today and she’s just happy to be inside and eating. You can hear her little purrs 😭 This little one will be up for adoption as soon as she’s healthy! She deserves to be in a home that will give her all the love and attention she deserves.

We can only do this work because of all of you supporting the animals here! Join Patreon and help us reach our goal this year of getting 50,000 $1 patrons a month to help sustain the sanctuary. Join now at www.patreon.com/foreverlandfarm šŸ™šŸ»

Sudie & Kramer ā¤ļøā€šŸ©¹

This is not the news I wanted to share with all of you. Yesterday, both horses arrived at the hospital to get a full work up.

I’ll talk about Sudie first. Three of her four legs were suffering severe contraction. She was only left with one good leg to help balance all her weight. It was also discovered she had a deep wound on the back of one of her front legs that was infected, the infection had reached her tendon on that leg making surgery impossible. The extent of what she would need would have been too much for her and the outcome would have still been an unacceptable quality of life. I made the call to have her humanely euthanized. She got loved, groomed, and had her hair braided before she peacefully fell asleep. I don’t know how long she had been living this way but a day would have been too long.

Kramer- our little man seemed like he had a real shot. The doctors found a large bladder stone that was making is difficult for him to urinate and we came up with a surgical and supportive treatment plan for him. All seemed okay. Then late last night I get a call concerning his lack of f***l matter and the doctors said his abdomen began to swell. The decision was made to do immediate colic surgery to figure out what was happening. I won’t do into a lot of detail but what the doctors found internally was too much to fix. He was let go under anesthesia.

The issues he was facing didn’t start overnight. We can’t say how long he was suffering like this but it wasn’t just a day. I will never for the life of me understand how someone could let this happen to them. Both of them. I have been doing this for a long time now and if I ever start to understand that’s the day I’ll quit.

While I am incredibly sad that this wasn’t the outcome we wanted, it’s the outcome we got. Despite it all they were still loved in the end. They still got someone saying ā€œI will fight for you, because you’re worth itā€ and that matters.

Foreverland takes the ones that a lot of people can’t or won’t because they deserve better. They deserve dignity and respect. That’s what these two angels got.

Thank you for fighting for them

This poor girl is not getting the attention I think she deserves. This is one of the most bizarre cases I have ever seen, and honestly I wouldn’t even be asking for help with her if I didn’t think there was something we could do for her.

My hope is that it is a tendon issue and there is a surgery that could work for her. We cannot get her imaging or any vet care at the kill pen. She has to go to the hospital.

Please donate to her rescue. She needs all of us šŸ™šŸ»ā¤ļøā€šŸ©¹

I was sent this video of a pony at a kill pen with extremely compromised front legs. Now, we have no clue what’s happening with this little girl, but my HOPE is its tendons and could be corrected with surgery.

There is no way to do any of the assessment or imaging where she is right now, all we can do is get her into a deeply bedded trailer and get her to the hospital for testing. We are the closest place she can go. I never ever want to put a horse through more than they need if I don’t think there might be a chance. But I think there is a possibility.

We absolutely cannot even do anything unless we raise funds for her. If she’s got any chance for surgery it’s so so expensive. And we want to give that to her.

Oh, she’s also blind in one eye. The eye might need to also be removed. This poor girl.

Do you think we can help her? Please donate to her rescue now and let’s get her out of there and to the hospital asap.
