Attention Webelos Parents: If your child is going into 4th or 5th grade they are eligible for an overnight camp specifically aimed at Webelos. It's a jumpstart on the program, extremely helpful, and fun in getting many of the advancement requirements finished.

The general plan is we would leave Saturday morning (9/28) about 7am since many parents are unable to get out of work and packed for a Friday departure and drive ourselves and our gear to Camp Sam Wood. The scouts would have a day of fun activities aimed at completing requirements for advancements. Each child/parent would be responsible for breakfast for themselves and we would cook our own lunch, dinner, and breakfast Sunday morning before packing up and leaving (9/29).

For this event scouts would need parent accompaniment since it's overnight. Tents, sleeping bags, and some other gear are required due to it being overnight. The pack can help with some of the requirements should families not have access.

I will need to get an accurate count of people for food purchase, gear planning, and so on. Once I have an accurate count I'll send out an email with more details and possibly get together to get parents and kids discussing the event.

The cost would be $8 per person not including our food.
