Adorable Cinderella is popping in this Thankful Thursday to say hello and show off her adorable self.

Each and every one of you makes it possible for us to save the most unwanted dogs who seemingly have no hope. For that, we are forever grateful, and we believe they are, too.

While the world is not always a kind place, Cindy is thankful for this second chance at life. This opportunity to love and be loved. She enjoys every day to the fullest knowing that it’s a precious privilege to be alive - and it’s all because of YOUR support.

Thank you for giving us the ability to do what we do!

This week's Wishlist Wednesday is brought to you by our newest tiny Sanctuary resident, Miss Tilly.

Little Tilly was transferred into our care when Humphrey House 4 Homeless Animals determined she was not a candidate for adoption due to needing specialized lifetime care. We of course said yes to helping this precious girl and she officially arrived yesterday.

Tilly has what is known as a slow progressive thoracolumbar myelopathy, otherwise explained as a problem with the spinal cord in the middle of the back. She also has f***l incontinence, likely due to inflammatory spinal cord disease and congenital spinal cord malformation, megaesophagus, and has been experiencing seizures.

Tilly’s medical and comfort care have begun. She is on a medication protocol for her spine, will receive cold laser therapy, and is now also taking seizure medication. Additionally, she is fed in an upright position only in order to aid her digestive issues; a Bailey Chair has been ordered for her size.

Please consider making a donation to help with Tilly’s care or shopping our wish lists to donate food, enrichment, and more to our Sanctuary residents; everyone of these precious souls that walks through our doors deserves this chance to be happy.

https://www.pawsgivemepurpose.com/our-wish-lists/

This week's most needed items are: Hill's Science Diet Sensitive Stomach & Skin, Small & Mini Breeds Dry Food (Chicken Recipe), Tide Hygienic Clean laundry pods, Lysol laundry sanitizer, PetSilver Immune Support, Wahl USA Pet Friendly Waterless No Rinse Shampoo.

On behalf of Tilly and all dogs here at Paws Give Me Purpose Sanctuary, thank you for thinking of us and making our lives better.

Precious Rose (formerly Rosie Perez, Philly ACCT-A-250664) is finally strong enough to head into surgery today. Our surgeon will remove the enormous weight she has been carrying on her tiny body for far too long. “Harry the Hernia’s” removal is necessary comfort care.

Our vet Team has stated that this is one of the largest hernias they have ever seen. Rose certainly did not deserve to be neglected this way and then tossed out onto the city streets like trash. This behavior by any human being is completely unacceptable! We are doing our best to pick up the pieces and give Rose the best days of her life for her time with us.

Love doesn’t have an expiration date; senior dogs deserve forever too. Life is a reminder that no matter how old or frail, precious souls like Rose deserve to know warmth, comfort, and unconditional love.

Welcome home, Rose. Your hardest days are behind you, and your best ones are just beginning.

Please. If you are reading this, if you have ever loved a dog, if you believe that one gentle, brave senior’s life matters, donate, share, do whatever you can to send little Rose some love.

At 14 years of age, this precious soul was put out onto the streets to fend for herself, dragging around an enormous tumor.

Her body told us a story of long-term neglect and hardship. We have no way of knowing how long she had suffered dragging around a tumor that weighed half a pound, or how long she had endured pain with no relief. Regardless, this horrific chapter of her life is now over.

When our shelter partner reached out for help, we were at first speechless then heartbroken by what we heard and were seeing, but we knew in our hearts that Poppy deserved this second chance at life. A life where she could be comfortable and just be a dog.

Poppy has officially broken off her relationship with what we’ve been calling “Todd the Tumor”. This relationship is one that should have never happened, but has been sadly going on for many years. Poppy was never spayed and this was the result of years of lack of care. “Todd the Tumor” was removed on Tuesday, sent out for biopsy, and she has been spayed.

No dog should have to endure this type of suffering. No dog, especially a senior, should die alone in a shelter!

While Poppy may have a long road of recovery ahead of her, the worst days of her life are behind her. She will never go without care again! Every moment from this one forward will be filled with nothing but love, kindness and dignity.

We know many are struggling, but our outstanding Vet bills are enormous; we truly need your help!

All the dogs at Paws Give Me Purpose seem to know they’ve been given a second chance, and they readily show their gratitude.

Beautiful Frankie lights up the Sanctuary with her vibrant personality, she makes us smile everyday too. Every single moment that she is here with us is truly a gift and is one of the many reasons why we do what we do here - her life matters!

All Frankie wants is to be loved, and she returns that love many times over. Frankie needed a place to live out her golden years filled with nothing but unconditional love and happiness and with your support, we are making it happen!

Frankie wishes you all a safe and wonderful weekend.

After 15 years of loyalty and love, Sierra (Philly ACCT-A-103927) found herself alone. Her cozy home vanished and she was surrendered to a shelter when she needed her family the most. Sierra was a last minute save, but is now safe here with us at Paws Give Me Purpose Sanctuary.

Sierra is not just a dog. She’s a gentle soul who’s lived a full life and deserves to spend her golden years wrapped in love—not heartbreak. She didn’t deserve this disappointment, she deserves a couch, a hand to hold, and someone to look her in the eyes and tell her everything will be ok.

While death, a part of life, is something we can not change, we do have a choice for these sentient beings and how they die. No dog no matter their age, appearance, or health status should die alone in a shelter.

We do not believe Sierra is ready to leave this world just yet. She is still wagging her tail, leaning her head into our hands and sighing with trust. She deserves this second chance to have good times and make only the best memories.

Some people view hospice as giving up, as resigning to a fate. Hospice is not about giving up, it’s about focusing on comfort and giving them the best quality of life.

We work hard here at PGMP Sanctuary to provide comfort, relieve any pain and help precious souls like Sierra in their remaining days live with dignity and respect.

This is what we do here at Paws Give Me Purpose not because it’s easy, but because so many others can’t.

Here at Paws Give Me Purpose, we feel inspired by the visually impaired dogs who call our Sanctuary home. They teach us to live life to the fullest, despite our challenges. These beautiful souls show courage, strength, confidence, and faith in everything they do.

Beautiful Madonna came to us from the Humane Society of Washington County. Her condition was beyond heartbreaking. Blind, deaf, mammary masses, a heart murmur, skin and ear infections, the list goes on and on. She is now safe and receiving the urgent medical care she needs and deserves. She has been started on a plethora of medications to help heal her broken body and for possibly the first time in her life she is comfortable.

Even suffering all these ailments, Madonna’s will to live shows in every step she takes and every sound she makes, and she is very demanding - something we just love about her!

Madonna is beginning to slowly learn her way around the Sanctuary. She has chosen to stay close to the area where there are other blind residents and they will definitely be helpful in guiding her as to where everything is.

As we wash away the physical and emotional scars from Madonna’s body and mind we have no doubt that she sees us, maybe more so, than a sighted dog. She may not see our faces, but she can read our hearts and that makes her even more special to us.

We never shy away from difficult cases. We say yes when others feel they are too far gone, but we cannot continue to do this without you!

This sweet girl has been through hell, THIS is her new beginning. Please help us give Madonna the care she should have received all along. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help change her life.

On this marvelous Monday precious Jade is popping in to say hello to all our wonderful followers and supporters. She’s here to tell you that getting old is not easy, but she is still beautiful, inside and out, and she most certainly has value!

Jade is currently receiving the ongoing medical care, rehabilitation, healthy diet, senior supplements and the TLC she needs and deserves, and she is feeling fabulous!

For Jade, Paws Give Me Purpose Sanctuary is home. She is now safe, spoiled, and loved beyond measure, just as she should be! Although she suffers from some serious medical issues, she is a very happy girl.

All dogs are beautiful, but senior dogs have a way of touching our hearts in a way that changes everything.

Jade wants you all to know how grateful she is for this second chance at life for it would not be possible without your support. Thank you for giving us the ability to do what we do!

Beautiful Winnie, formerly Philadelphia ACCT Fudgey, is now safe here with us at Paws Give Me Purpose Sanctuary. With just 5 minutes to spare, our staff arrived at the shelter to pull this girl to safety.

Upon her arrival, she soaked up a warm bath and happily devoured a warm, home-cooked meal. For the first time in perhaps a long time, she is content, safe, loved.

We have no way of knowing how long she has struggled or how long she has endured pain with no relief. Winnie is now safe and will never go without care again. Every moment from this one forward will be filled with nothing but kindness and dignity.

Today she saw our veterinary team and we have begun a medication protocol, cold laser treatments and physical therapy, to help ease her discomfort, begin her healing journey and restore only the very best quality of life.

Winnie has a tough road ahead of her, and there are no guarantees, but her life matters and we will do everything in our power to help her so she can enjoy life to the fullest.

Please help us give Winnie the care she should have received all along. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help change her life.
