Happy Earth Day!
Join the Buzz! What better way to celebrate than by supporting efforts to care for our planet’s busy, buzzing, little bees?

Did you know many of New Jersey’s staple crops, such as blueberries and cranberries, rely on honey bee pollination?

Today we are launching our campaign to bring honey bees to PAWS Farm Educational Center! These bees will not only support pollination efforts locally, but will also be used as partners in education to teach visitors and veterinary students about caring for them.

📣 Mark your calendar! Save the date! 📣

Applications for the 2026 PAWSITIVE Futures Summer Camp program open on Wednesday, April 1, 2026!

Interested students in New Jersey, who will be rising into the 11th or 12th grade in the 2026-2027 school year have until April 14 to submit an application.

Participants will be selected via a random lottery. If selected, a $100 deposit, applied toward tuition, will be due within 7 days of notification.

One of the new features we are planning to bring to PAWS is an apiary! This would enable us to conduct pollinator education for children and visitors, as well as provide course experiences in bee medicine for our veterinary students.

Day of Giving at Rowan University provides us a unique opportunity to make a small donation into a large one. For 24 hours, PAWS can compete with departments and programs throughout the university to win additional funding through giving and donating challenges.

A minimum donation of just five dollars could go a long way. 100% of donations given go directly to PAWS Farm.

Set an alarm and mark your calendar! Wednesday, February 25th is Rowan University's annual 24-hour Day of Giving!

This year, all donations that PAWS Farm received via our special link (see below!) will go towards the building and establishment of an apiary! Under the guidance of Dr. Katie Krebs, a primary veterinarian at the teaching hospital at the Shreiber School of Veterinary Medicine, this apiary will not only strengthen pollination locally, but also provide educational opportunities for students and the community. An avid bee keeper herself and specialist in bee medicine, Dr. Krebs will lead our veterinary students through course work teaching bee medicine.

As part of the Day of Giving fun, internal challenges could help turn even small donations into hundreds or even thousands of dollars of additional funding. 100% of donations designed to PAWS Farm go directly to us.

Reminder! The Real Pet Santa will be at PAWS Wednesday, Decemeber 3 between 4-8:30 to meet your good boys and girls!

While Santa loves kitties, scaly and feathered family members just as much, this opportunity is for dogs only!

100% of donations benefit two of the amazing outreach programs at the Shreiber School of Veterinary Medicine: PAWS Farm Educational Center and the Shelter Medicine & Community Engagement Programs!

We love nature! We love reading! What do you get when you put them together? A BOOK PICNIC!

Please join PAWS Farm Educational Center and the Mount Laurel Library for an outdoor afternoon of loving books! Readers of all ages are welcome to bring a book and a blanket or chair, find a comfy spot and start making a dent in their TBR pile.

Young and emerging readers can join our Library Blanket for fun and educational reads alouds with a children’s librarian!
