Jungle Solar Solutions Providing solar electric power in remote locations for those serving Jesus Christ.

The Mission
As a non-profit organization, we endeavor to provide solar electric power to remote locations, domestic and international, where utility power is not available to support missions organizations, churches, and individuals serving Jesus Christ.

Mission Success. The Lord very graciously added his protection during every moment of the trip. I was so aware of his guiding presence. The truck performed exceptionally well, I remained alert during the 32 hour drive, and I was able to catch a flight back from Dallas to Philly within hours of delivering the truck.
I could not have expected a better journey.
Thank you for praying. I'll be heading to Belize this coming Friday to continue our ministry there.

P.S. I had a fun conversation with my Dallas Uber driver when he learned I was from Philly. Apparently they are as passionate about their football as Philly fans. LoL.

I've decided to send my pickup truck permanently to Belize where it will be used to support Jungle Solar ministries. This weekend, I will be driving to Dallas where I will meet a carrier that will bring the truck down through Mexico and into Belize. I'll be flying to Belize the following week to retrieve the truck and resume work on multiple solar projects along with meeting church leaders in the villages.

I certainly could use some prayer as this is going to be challenging coordinating all these efforts over the next month. Thanks everyone!

Thank you to everyone who prayed for our friends in Belize last week! If you missed it, go back and meet some of the people we have met during our time down there. Please pray for us this week as we travel and continue to do God's work in Belize.

The last friend we'd like you to meet this week is Ernesto. He is a young Creole man with a mind toward spiritual things. Ernesto just opened a taco stand across the road where we typically stay along the coast. We developed a nice friendship and are spending our time with him exploring the ultimate spiritual truth found in Jesus Christ.

What a blessing when God puts people like Ernesto in our paths without our planning it. Please pray for Ernesto's heart, that he will be open to the truth of Jesus being our Savior. Pray also that we will have more opportunities to share the love of God with him.

Meet April, a girl that lives in one of the houses that we provided solar power in the past. In front of April is her laptop that she is now able to use to continue her high school classes. Lord willing, she will receive her diploma this year. This will enable her to get a job and help provide for the needs of her family. April and her mother were both baptized recently.

Please pray for April's education, that she will be able to complete the work to receive her diploma. Especially pray for her and her mother as they grow in their faith in the Lord.

Meet Pastor Tino, leader of the church in Medina Bank. To earn money, Tino sells various food and miscellaneous items to local villagers. In the background you can see the solar electronics we installed at his house to enable him to power a freezer unit which will be used to store perishable items. Also, much time is spent with Tino in teaching the Word of God in preparation for leading his congregation.

Please pray for Pastor Tino as he leads his church family through the construction of their new building. Pray that God will open his eyes and heart to understand God's Word and share it with his people.

We are headed down to Belize again next week. While we prepare, we want to introduce you to some wonderful people we have met while there. As you read a bit about their stories, would you take a moment to pray for them? We want them to know the love of Jesus and have a desire to follow him.

First up are members of the Mayan Church in Medina Bank along with their pastor, Tino (white tee), and our ministry friend, Marc. After losing their church building to a fire, they have started to rebuild. It’s amazing to see the unity among the people and a willingness to sacrifice of what little they have to continue this project. We will continue to support them in anyway the Lord leads (i.e. Bible studies, children’s ministries, and solar power.) Pray for strength as this group of people rallies together to restore what was lost.

We appreciate your prayers this week as we travel down to Belize. One solar install, making connections, and sharing the Gospel.

Jungle Solar's mission

02/05/2024

This week we will be heading to Belize to meet with several villages in the Mayan community. The goal is to determine where we will provide our next solar project and how we can provide ministry support to further help the local churches. In addition, we will be doing some equipment maintenance on previously installed projects.

There is so much need that it is difficult to prioritize and plan all the work. We could use a lot of prayer that the Lord will lead us unto His will.

Ken just returned from two weeks in Belize. Thanks to everyone who was praying for him while he was away. Here's an update from his time there:

As I reflect on this latest mission, I could clearly see the Spirit of God working in the lives of the people. Although the church fire was a tragedy, the villagers remain encouraged and are now meeting in peoples' houses with hopes of building another church, Lord willing.

And, while we were wondering where we would minister next, I was invited to a multi-village church gathering where I had the opportunity to meet with pastors and leaders of six different villages. They expressed much interest in our ministry and we look forward to working with them in 2024. What a privilege to serve in this capacity. God is good!

Despite the church fire, there was some positive progress made on this most recent trip!

Remember Josie? She is a widow we previously met who needed power in her house, and we were able to visit her again. During this trip, we provided her with that needed power for lights, fans, and recharging electronics. They were very grateful, since now they can check the house for scorpions at night before going to bed. No kidding!
