We are incredibly grateful to our wonderful community partners at Volunteer New York for their help in spreading the word. We would be delighted if you could join us tomorrow for The Great Dig.

Please help us this Saturday, February 28th, in clearing snow from walkways and public spaces following the recent blizzard. The heavy snowfall has made it difficult for our horses, staff, and clients with limited mobility to safely access our facility.

All volunteers are asked to bring snow shovels or removal equipment, warm clothing, and gloves. Whether you can join us for a short time or the entire day, volunteer support will make a significant difference! Students are eligible for community service hours.

To participate, please follow this link to complete the Day Visitor Registration Form: https://forms.vagaro.com/5f31af000180500484ed801a

With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved herd leader, Ivan. His untimely passing leaves an immense void in our hearts, as he was an unwavering pillar to our program.

BDF IVANHOE, a thirty-four-year-old Norwegian Fjord bred in Canada, was a stallion until he was six and originally trained as a driving pony. Throughout his early years, he dedicated himself to teaching children riders as a dressage and eventing pony.

In September 2014, Ivan joined the Access Equestrian program. He has consistently demonstrated remarkable patience and joy in his role. As soon as his bridle was on, he eagerly stepped out of his stall, ready to fulfill his responsibilities and carry the smallest and most delicate clients.

Ivan’s legacy lives on in the cherished memories and moments he left behind. In his honor, we invite you to share your favorite memories and stories in the comment section below. Additionally, we encourage you to visit the barn and leave memories or photos at the memorial displayed at his stall. We will miss him dearly.

Ivan, we hope you will please wait for us on the other side of the rainbow bridge. 🌈
