At least 37 Tennesseans lost their lives to domestic violence in 2025. Each life lost is a call to do more and do better.

As a prevention agency, we believe these tragedies are not inevitable.

This report from the Tennessee Coalition to End Domestic and Sexual Violence reinforces the urgent need for:

Thanks to the Community Foundation of Rutherford County, we’re helping local youth build confidence, independence, and lifelong financial skills.

With their support, we’re teaching young people how to budget, save, and plan for their futures because financial literacy is more than numbers. It’s prevention, empowerment, and protection against cycles of abuse and exploitation.

Because of this support, more youth will gain the financial confidence that helps break cycles of violence, control, and exploitation. 💜

We’re looking for volunteers to help make this program even more impactful, especially those able to assist in the Rutherford County area.

Honoring Domestic Violence Awareness Month 💜

Tonight, our partners HomeSafe Inc. will host their annual Candlelight Vigil in Lebanon, honoring lives lost to domestic violence and standing in solidarity with survivors, families, and communities healing from harm.

At Trust Yourself, our focus is on violence prevention and education, while HomeSafe provides crisis intervention and advocacy for survivors. Together, our agencies are connected not only by shared goals and service areas but also through shared team members who help bridge prevention and response ensuring our communities receive both proactive education and immediate support.

Here’s how you can make a difference:
