Today’s trenching and excavation safety reminder highlights the major hazards that lead to the most serious injuries.

Key points:
👉 Cave-ins are the leading cause of trench fatalities.
👉 OSHA requires protective systems (sloping, shoring, shielding) for trenches 5 feet or deeper.
👉 A competent person must inspect the trench and surrounding area daily and as conditions change.
