Good evening!! We are NASH & KNOX, two brothers who are going to melt some hearts tonight!! We can't help it that we are so perfectly gorgeous, it's just our burden to bear, carrying the guilt of our beauty around...so many others aren't as pretty (sigh). It's hard not to have an ego when you're longer-haired.

We do come from very humble beginnings though....the ground to be exact. Our mama was feral and gave birth to us on a property in Mt. Juliet, TN. Once we were old enough to catch, the owner of the property did just that...he caught us, and caught us good! We put up a fight, but once we arrived to True Rescue, we were pretty scared and intimidated. It was right to foster we went, and there we learned about humans and how to live our best lives with them. They also spoiled and pampered us just a smidge, (so they might be to blame if we seem a bit full of ourselves).

Our mama was taken to a vet to get "fixed up", and she gets to live her best life on the property she came from. We, on the other hand, are movin' on up, and are searching for a forever home. If that might be you, please fill out the application form at the bottom of this post. We plan to be at the ADOPTION EVENT happening this Saturday, Oct. 17th between the hours of 11-3.

One other thing...yes, we are black kitties, and yes we are up for adoption during the month of October. True Rescue does a very thorough job with their vetting process for all of their kitties, and will not pause adoptions for black cats/kittens. There is a link to a post below that reflects similar feelings that True Rescue has regarding adoptions of black kitties during October. Hopefully this clears up any questions you might have. Please know that they are very good about matching up owners with the perfect cats/kittens. Thank you, and we hope to see you on Saturday!

The 2026 ULTIMATE CAT CONFERENCE was a HUGE success, and we have a lot of thank-yous to send out! Well happy Monday morning to you all!! My name is Mama Paint, and I've been asked to give a big announcement! Today marks the day where we are officially only ONE MONTH away from THE YARN BALL!!! We kitties over here at True Rescue are just beyond excited about this! For starters, we're happy that our people are going to be dressed up in something other than a True Rescue T-shirt and pants, and on a more serious note, we're happy about the opportunity to raise money and awareness for True Rescue through this event.

Now this is a first for True Rescue, hosting a gala like this. It will be on a Thursday night, Nov 12, which, if you don't know this already, Thursdays are the new Saturdays, from what we hear. So there's that, whatever it means. Also, it is a "gala", but dress attire can be whatever makes you feel comfortable. Some might want to go all out, but others might not...so wear whatever you'd like, because comfort is key. You are going to be raising money for a rescue that has adopted out over 6,000 animals since start-up in 2020, and has taken in over 7,000. Those numbers are HUGE, and it takes a LOT of energy, time and money to keep this large facility running, which keeps cats and kittens safe from peril and off of the ground getting medical treatment and finding homes. I, for one, would likely not be alive without the intervention of True Rescue pulling me as a stray from an apartment complex.

There will be an amazing feast of food, an incredible Silent Auction, music, dance and potential mayhem ensuing (I just threw that in for fun). We do hope you will join us, because as fun as this sounds, it is also one of our biggest fundraisers this year.

We had TWENTY INCREDIBLE ADOPTIONS THIS WEEK!! Just LOOK at all the adult cats that were adopted too! Thank you to all of these families who came forward to adopt. You are all responsible for the huge smiles on our faces this evening, and the reason our rescue circle continues. Get ready for all the new intakes next week now!

Well butter my biscuits, you didn't think we would forget to announce ourselves, did you?! We are Biscuit, Honey & Gravy, and we are going to the SHOW!! The "show" being the big ADOPTION EVENT happening today at PetSmart in Mt Juliet, TN from 11-3. We are just 3 beauties who happened to have been born outside to a feral mama, who is now fixed and living her best life. We are now 8 weeks old and ready to go, if one of you lovely families out there will have us! Hello!!! My name is Dinky, and I'm a fully-vetted 5-month old kitten! My other siblings will be announced soon, but they still have a few "manners" to learn around humans! Me...I was a quick sell-out, so I get to be adopted first, if you will have me!! I'll be at PetSmart in Mt Juliet, TN tomorrow from 11-3 for a big ADOPTION EVENT!! Hello! We are THE LOST KITTIES, and we are so pleased to be announcing ourselves! We were dumped exactly a month ago in a carrier on a porch in Mt. Juliet, TN. To say we were "lost", is an understatement. We were 4 weeks old at the time, and now we are 8 weeks old. We have no idea what happened to our mama, and we sure have missed her. Thank goodness we have been in a wonderful foster home with True Rescue, getting all the care we could possibly want. It's time now for us to venture off and find our forever families.

We will be kicking off the ADOPTION EVENT, happening tomorrow, Oct. 10 at the PetSmart in Mt. Juliet, TN from 11-3. We'll be there, along with some of our friends, hoping to find the most amazing homes possible. You can apply to adopt us at the link below, and then just come on out! The True Rescue shelter will be open as always between the hours of 11-3, and they will have more kittens and adult cats there. Mt Juliet, TN. Meet Spike and Chapo, two gorgeous adult males left behind after their owner passed away. They have been watched over by a friend of the family's while awaiting intake here. They are both doing okay, despite the circumstances, and we are trying to get them settled here as quickly as possible. Mt Juliet, TN. We have named this sweet boy Jake, and he is certainly happy to have been pulled off of the ground! He even made biscuits during his flea bath! Jake is suffering from anemia due to flea infestation, and is severely underweight, but we expect him to make a full recovery. Fosters and donations are greatly needed at this time, as we continue to pull these medical cases off of the ground daily. Thank you for your continued support!

Mt Juliet, TN. These two kittens were brought here within an hour of each other, both found in Lebanon, in two totally different areas. One was in the middle of a road, and the other on a grassy part on the side of a road. They ate both close in age and size, and both have URIs, very thin, and covered in fleas. We are happy to have these girls safe now, but we need a foster home. If you can help, please fill out the form below, and we'll be in touch!
