A rescue's journey- meet Ruby Rescued from a kill shelter in NC, Ruby almost didn't make it...But, her lovely personality and sweet face was all it took for us to want her rescued

So, once her quarantine time was completed.......making sure there were no latent medical issues Ruby was headed north to her foster home.

Here she lives with a family, their dog and cat....and, she learns that being rescued means a second chance to find the right home this time around.

It also means an adopter can get a better idea of what she's all about rather than selecting her straight from a shelter without having the benefit of daily routines in a household.

The first report we got from her foster mom said, " The change in Ruby in just a few days is 180. First I thought she didn't know family setting. That's changed. I think she wasn't allowed...or was treated with a heavy hand. She got a toy and squeaker. I took the squeaker and she was jumping at it. I told her eh-eh and she cowered and put her head down like I was going to smack her. I was astonished."

Once our rescues are settled and calmed down from the stress of a shelter and vetting, we then have our trainer evaluate...
