🎉 We Have a Southwest Ohio Champion! 🎉
Please congratulate Shiloh Stacey, an 11th grade student at Goshen High School, who has been named the 2026 Poetry Out Southwest Ohio Champion!
After advancing through school competition, Shiloh delivered an outstanding performance of Edgar Allan Poe’s “The Conqueror Worm” and Alice Duer Miller’s “Why We Oppose Pockets for Women” at the regional semifinals and will now advance to the Ohio State Poetry Out Loud Finals in Columbus on Friday, February 27.
Poetry Out Loud helps high school students build confidence, strengthen public speaking skills, and deepen their appreciation for poetry. Since 2005, more than 4.5 million students nationwide have participated in this transformative program.
👏 Today, we celebrate not just a win, but the journey of our champion, Shiloh Stacey of Goshen High School, and all of this year’s participants who brought poetry to life on stage:
* Jaalam Smith, Aiken HS
* Kourtney Lloyd, Winton Woods HS
