Meet Maggie 💛

Maggie volunteers with her Delta Zeta chapter, Kappa Chi.

In her words: "Volunteering at Flying Horse Farms gave me the opportunity to truly connect to Delta Zeta's value of generosity, taking time away from work and responsibilities to truly focus on the magic of service. As a life long volunteer, I was so grateful for the opportunity to immerse myself in this experience through a camp culture filled with positivity, appreciation, and the desire to make the world a better place. I can't wait to come back next summer!"

Meet Max 💛

"Flying Horse Farms is the best camp ever because you can make friends with kids that have the same 'medical stuff' as you!"

Max has been coming to camp for two summers, and he tried both archery and the zip line here for the first time.

🌙 Favorite thing to do at camp: staying up late with friends when they are supposed to be sleeping
☕ Favorite camp food: hot chocolate, at as many meals as possible
✨ Camp in three words: "Fun. Amazing. Colorful."

His family travels all the way from North Dakota for camp, and while Max is here his mom spends the week in Columbus taking some much needed time for herself.

We asked her what she would say to another family thinking about camp, and she said: "He has truly found a place where he belongs and can just be the kid he wishes his body would allow him to be at home."

Meet Emilia 💛

Emilia volunteers with us through Delta Zeta at DePaul.

In her words: "Seeing all the campers challenge their fears and turn out to have the best time ever was a highlight of my experience. Just by being your supportive self, you can create a positive impact in people's lives while still giving them unforgettable experiences."

When she's not at camp, Emilia is at school in Chicago, exploring the city and its food with friends.
