We love seeing Christmas spirit popping up all across Mount Eden!

Mark your calendars for Christmas in Mount Eden on December 5th — come enjoy fellowship, festive fun, and a delicious chili dinner at the Community Center.

And when you’re done, take a short drive over to the other side of town to check out the beautiful Christmas lights shining bright for everyone to enjoy! 🎄✨

Mt. Eden is glowing this year — we hope to see you out and about spreading the cheer!

Deep in the woods of Anderson County, a new kind of holiday magic is about to shine. The Malone family has turned their love for the season into Holiday Lights at Van Buren — a drive-through light experience filled with 27,000 twinkling lights, 300 dancing snowflakes, and the sweet comfort of hot cocoa. Admission is free, but donations encouraged all going to the Lawrenceburg Academy of Performing Arts! ❄️⛄️🎁

Load up the car, follow the glow through the trees, and make some memories under the lights — a new family tradition starts here! 🚗🌲

All without ever leaving our little town — we’ve got it all right here in Mount Eden! 🙌

Sprucing up Mount Eden!
This project has been in the works for quite some time, and we’re so excited to finally see it coming to life!

It was made possible through a Community Investment Grant from Rural 1st, along with support from the Spencer County Fiscal Court and the Mount Eden Community Center. We can’t thank everyone enough for their generosity and belief in our little town.

A special thank-you goes out to Doug Aldridge for constructing the sign frames, and to the property owners who graciously allowed them to be placed on their land.

Our hope is that these signs help reestablish Mount Eden’s identity and show everyone just how proud we are of our community.

We still have a couple more to install—so keep an eye out for new signs popping up around town in the next couple of weeks!

Join us this Friday, July 4th at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church for our Annual Independence Day Celebration & Car Meet! Our festivities will begin when the Mt. Eden parade concludes. If you’d like to bring a car for our car meet, feel free! No advanced registration is required! Cars may begin parking at 11:00 am. We’ll serve free food (hotdogs, hamburgers, chips & water). There will be a water slide as well.
