Mount Desert Police Association The association is a stand-alone non profit organization that is not directly associated with the Mount Desert Police Department.

We grant scholarships to MDIHS and donate to numerous community programs for the Town of Mount Desert and surrounding areas. The Mount Desert Police Association is a non profit organization. The association is not affiliated with the Mount Desert Police Department, but its members are employees of the Mount Desert Police Department. The Mount Desert Police Association accepts donations from local

and summer residence alike. The Mount Desert Police Association currently has two scholarships that it awards yearly to graduating seniors from Mount Desert Island High School. One of the scholarships is a general scholarship that is open for any student to apply for. The second scholarship is intended for the student that is interested in a career in Law Enforcement or similar field. The Mount Desert Police Association also supports other local community programs like the Good Morning Program, Coffee with a Cop, Seacoast Mission, Coats for Kids, Neighborhood House, Beth Wright Center, just to name a few.
