New data from our School Vaccination Coverage Dashboard shows that Illinois is outpacing national trends as immunization rates for school-required vaccines remain steady for the 2025-26 school year.

All but one immunization is above the 95% coverage goal Illinois has set.

This 95% coverage rate prevents the spread of disease and helps protect everyone in the school and in the community. This is a public health win.

But the work isn't done yet. Some counties and schools still have vaccination rates below 95%, leaving some children and communities more vulnerable to preventable diseases.

In Illinois, we're taking steps to help. Over the last year, we've:
➡️Expanded vaccine access for children at pharmacies.
➡️Adopted the American Academy of Pediatrics' science-based childhood and adolescent immunization schedule.
➡️Continually worked with local health departments to vaccines even more accessible with mobile clinics.

Every students deserves to learn in a safe, healthy environment — and IDPH will continue to make sure all children have the protect they need.💙

Mental health starts at home 💚

In our family, we’re learning to talk about our feelings, support each other on the hard days, and celebrate the good ones. We remind one another that it’s okay to ask for help, take a break, and not have everything figured out.

Strong families aren’t perfect—they’re open, understanding, and there for each other through it all.

WCHD wore blue in support of Childhood Abuse Awareness 💙

Every child deserves to feel safe, seen, and protected.

• 1 in 7 children experience abuse or neglect each year
• Most abuse is committed by someone the child knows and trusts
• Early support and intervention can change a child’s entire future

Together, we can be the voice for those who are still finding theirs. By raising awareness, showing up, and speaking out, we help create a world where every child is protected, valued, and free to just be a kid.

💙 Ending the silence. Breaking the cycle. Protecting every childhood.

Not everyone who participated is pictured.
