Battle of the Barns is a fun and friendly competition open exclusively to all current 4-H (general and livestock) members. Teams will compete in a variety of exciting challenges designed to test teamwork, creativity, and 4-H spirit. Participants will work together to complete activities, solve challenges, and earn points throughout the event. Prizes sponsored by First National Bank of Allendale will be awarded for the winning team.

Sunday, July 12, 2026 Livestock Check-In/Weigh-In

👉1:30 pm - Animals must be on the fairgrounds
👉2:00pm - Weigh-in & check-in: Exhibitor must be present with health papers, entry list, livestock records, and registration papers (Purebred animals).

🔴DO NOT LEAVE UNTIL RECORDS HAVE BEEN CHECKED AND THE VET HAS BEEN TO YOUR ANIMALS!🔴

What ignites your child? Here is a chance to allow them to explore and create something new, helping them find their spark. Spark Before Dark will be held at the Wabash County Extension Office and led by University of Illinois Extension staff. Youth in 2nd - 8th grades are eligible to participate and do not have to be 4-H members to attend.

June Activity: Participants will be making homemade dog toys; one to keep and one to donate.

Poultry Exhibitors - Poultry testing will be held Tuesday, June 16, starting at 4:30 p.m. and ending at 6 at the Wabash County Fairgrounds. If you have questions, please contact the local extension office.
