American Legion Riders Post 191

American Legion Riders Post 191 The American Legion Riders are a diverse group of motorcycle enthusiasts sharing common goals.

All are members or spouses of The American Legion, American Legion Auxiliary, and Sons of The American Legion and all are united by patriotism. They answer the call to ride in service to Americas military, her veterans, and for the children and youth of our country.

Today, seven Post 191 Legion Riders had the incredible honor of participating in—and leading—SSG Frank Laguna and his family to their brand-new home provided by the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.

Also representing Gold Star Post 191 were:

• Post Commander Todd Morris

• Auxiliary President Janet Morris

• Adjutant Wayne Murphy

• Judge Advocate Mike Eveland

• Legionnaire member Eric Jackson

Alongside our Riders, we were joined by the Patriot Guard, Leathernecks, Post 223, and many others. In total, 27 motorcycles, several support vehicles, and our local heroes from the Mt. Airy Volunteer Fire Department, EMS, and Police helped es**rt this deserving family.

This was truly an unforgettable event to be part of. To see a hero who sacrificed so much for our country receive a little in return… to see his family surrounded with love… and to see our community show up in force to support them—it was deeply moving.

Today proved once again that SSG Laguna and his family are not alone. The Post 191 family, our veteran community, and the entire town stand proudly behind them.

Welcome home, SSG Laguna and Family
Your service will never be forgotten.

Sunday Ride Recap

6 Gold Star Post 191 Legion Riders and 2 guest riders hit the road yesterday for a great Sunday ride! They cruised out for an early dinner at Golden Corral, then topped it off with a sweet stop at Krispy Kreme for hot-off-the-press doughnuts. 🍴🍩

Big thanks to John for leading the ride — great route, great weather, and even better camaraderie among the crew. Nothing beats good food and good company and a great ride.

Thank You Gold Star Post 191!

Today, at the 107th Department of Maryland American Legion Convention, the Gold Star Post 191 Legion Riders were honored to receive the 4th Place Top Donor Award for the entire state of Maryland in support of the Veterans and Children’s Foundation.

This incredible milestone was made possible through the strength and unity of our entire Legion Family—the Legionnaires, Legion Riders, Auxiliary, Sons of the American Legion, and every single Post 191 member who supported our mission. Whether you attended an event, purchased a raffle ticket, volunteered your time, or simply helped spread the word, thank you.

Because of your unwavering support, we proudly donated $12,950 to this vital foundation that helps veterans and their families during times of need.

But we’re not stopping here.

We’re already planning and working hard to make next year’s impact even bigger—and we need your continued support. Every event, every fundraiser, and every ticket sold makes a difference. We invite you to stand with us again this year as we ride, serve, and give back.

If you’re unfamiliar with the Veterans and Children’s Foundation, we encourage you to take a moment to learn about the life-changing work they do for veterans, military families, and children across the nation.
