Congrats to the high school graduates! Congrats to the parents and guardians for guiding these youth to success!

Remember to celebrate responsibly; without the harms of underage drinking!

Providing alcohol to teens at home does not keep them "safe."

Alcohol use damages the developing adolescent brain, which doesn't mature until around age 25.

When hosting parties where teens are drinking alcohol, there is no such thing as a controlled environment. A few adults cannot manage the behaviors of a group of intoxicated youth.

The risks of alcohol related injury include interactions with medications teens may be taking, sexual assault, and physical injury from fights, reduced coordination or impaired driving.

Highlight the milestone, the music, the food, friends and family as you celebrate safe and sober!

Surry Central High School and Elkin High School students completed Resist the Influence training!

The four day substance use prevention series given to ninth grade health & PE students by All-Stars covers the topics of Mental Health, Alcohol, Ma*****na and Polysubstance Use.

Students discussed refusal skills that work, as well as facts about different substances and the risks of using them.

They participated in Kahoot and Jeopardy games on the topics and received Safe N Sober tee shirts and certificates upon completion.

We are grateful to work with such amazing teachers, who allow us us to educate their students on these important topics!
