The Mount Airy Professionals of Surry (MAPS) is a volunteer not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing its members the opportunities to engage in social networking, philanthropy, personal and professional growth. MAPS are open to young professionals with an interest in economic development, workforce development, civic engagement, and serving for the greater good of Mount Airy’s quality of

life. MAPS seeks to serve as a voice for Mount Airy’s young professionals and assist in ensuring the success of both attracting new businesses and supporting local business.

Mount Airy Parks and Recreation will be holding a Public Meeting on March 13th, 3-5pm at Westwood Park to gather input for the upcoming grant application for Park Accessibility. The project scope will include a universal (inclusive) playground 🛝, paving the gravel trail, and installing an accessible shelter 🧺.

The purpose of this grant is to provide a park space that all ages and abilities can play side by side. Mount Airy Parks & Recreation strives to offer Recreation opportunities for the entire community and invites everyone to attend to discuss this project and share your ideas!
