This weekend, remember the harms of providing alcohol to teens!
There is no such thing as a "safe" party where youth are consuming alcohol.
Alcohol damages the adolescent brain, and can increase the risk of developing alcohol use disorder in those who begin drinking as a teenager.
Alcohol can interact with medications youth may be taking, whether prescribed or over-the-counter.
When a group of teens are drinking, the chance of injury increases; including increased risk of physical injury from impaired coordination, violence, sexual assault and driving under the influence.
Remember to encourage healthy social activities and coping skills to keep them truly safe and sober!
