We are proud to announce that our second grant of $1,000 was paid to the Special Olympics of Maryland softball program! They will be using the funds to purchase new bats. A very many thanks to all of you for making this happen!!

Thank you to the Community Foundation of Frederick County for helping us make the Memorial Fund a success!!

The Jeremy Magers Memorial Baseball and Softball Fund has been established to honor Jeremy’s passion for the game and to support youth players in Frederick County. Sarah, his fiance, said, “He loved helping children of all ages and took great pride in watching them grow in the sport of baseball and softball.” This fund will provide resources and opportunities for young baseball and softball players to help them thrive.

We are excited to share that the Memorial Fund is now eligible to pay annual grants! Our first recipient will be the Urbana High Softball program to honor one of Jeremy’s coaching positions. He was so proud to be a part of this program, and we are honored to be able to give something back.

We will be presenting the grant to the coaches before their home game against Linganore on Monday, March 31st at 4:15 pm. We hope some of you will be able join us for this special moment and to watch some top notch softball!!

We would like to thank everyone, from the bottom of our hearts, who has donated, participated in fundraisers, and helps us continue to honor Jeremy’s legacy and involvement in our community. Now, let’s play ball!!

Sailing through Winter Solstice is here and the boats are out on Carroll Creek! Dynamic Automotive’s boat is a tribute to Coach Jeremy. Craig and Todd Zimmerman spent many hours creating ‘Magers Honor’ and it turned out amazing! A huge thank you to Dynamic Automotive and the Zimmerman family!!

We hope you all have a chance to go see ‘Magers Honor’ and all the other boats this holiday season.

As we start to enter the holiday season, we wanted to take a moment and thank everyone who has helped with events and/or donated to the fund this year. We truly appreciate each and every one of you!

Remember, the fund is Qualified Charitable Donation (QCD) eligible, so if you have IRA dollars you need to pull, please send us a message and we can get you details.

We plan to have some more “fun”draiser events in the new year, and look forward to you joining us!

Thank you In The Dirt Baseball Club for the most amazing 1st Annual Jeremy Magers Tournament. Seeing the fields so well cared for, watching top notch baseball, and experiencing the players and parents all enjoying themselves melts our hearts. And, your donation to Jeremy’s Memorial Fund was the icing on the cake. Thank you for continuing Jeremy’s dream in a huge way…Bryce, Joe, the rest of the Board and all the coaches, you are the best!!
