Your child tells you they are being bullied.

What should you tell them to do?

“Just ignore it” may not stop the behavior. Physical retaliation can make the situation more dangerous. And students should never be expected to solve bullying on their own.

Parents can help their child respond safely by understanding what is happening, identifying trusted adults, working with the school, and creating a plan that fits the situation.
