Thank you McPherson county community foundation for all that you guys do in our communities!!

Last week, our team spent time in Moundridge to close our community celebrations.

At each event, foundation staff connected with residents, shared more about the foundation’s impact, and enjoyed snacks from local caterers.

During the celebrations, MCCF presented each community with a $2,500 award to support local projects. Moundridge's grant was split between three organizations:

The Moundridge Lions Club will purchase a grill to use at community events.

The Moundridge Chamber of Commerce will enhance the annual Black Kettle Festival.

A middle school student’s idea for a community skate night will become a reality, bringing residents together through a fun and active event.

Throughout the tour, foundation staff connected with residents, shared stories of local impact, and highlighted how community-driven ideas continue to shape McPherson County.

“We are proud to celebrate 25 years of service to McPherson County by bringing each community together,” said CEO Michelle Huddle. “We hope these celebrations gave communities a chance to reflect on and celebrate the investments made toward their shared dreams.”

The Dream Grants served as both a celebration of past impact and a reminder that new ideas continue to drive the foundation’s work. The Foundation will continue to follow and share more on these grants as each project is completed.

🥤 Water, Gatorade, and soda

All proceeds from the concession stand will go toward the Maddie Kaufman Playground.💜🩵 Come out, grab a bite, and support a great cause!

Tonight’s gathering with the Moundridge Golden Opportunity 4-H Club was more than a meeting it was a reminder of what is possible when service-minded organizations unite around a shared mission.
For over a century, 4-H has been shaping young leaders through hands-on learning, character development, and a commitment to Head, Heart, Hands, and Health. At the same time, Lions Clubs International has built a global legacy of volunteerism championing vision, fighting hunger, supporting youth, and strengthening communities from the ground up.
When 4-H Clubs and Lions Clubs work together, something powerful happens.
Youth gain mentors who model integrity, service, and leadership.
Communities benefit from projects fueled by energy, experience, and shared purpose.
Generations connect learning from one another while building something meaningful together.
This partnership represents more than collaboration. It represents continuity. It shows young people that leadership doesn’t end at graduation it evolves into lifelong service. It shows seasoned leaders that the future is bright, capable, and ready.
