Happy last day of school!! 🥳

We wanted to thank all of you for your continued support of the PTA! We had an amazing year and we loved seeing all of our Shirley Hills students and families at our events throughout the year!

We are so thankful for all of our volunteers as we couldn't be as successful as we are without all of the help that we get from our Shirley Hills community! We look forward to another amazing year next year and we hope that you'll consider joining the PTA and volunteering at our events next year!

💚 Today we remember Eli Hart. 💚

💛 4 years ago today Eli was tragically taken from us but we remember him every single day. Recently the Eli Hart Foundation and the PTA came together to replace the net at our playground. The 4th graders, the PTA Board, Mr. Eidsness and Mrs. Hausladen took a picture at the new net and Mrs. Hausladen who was Eli's teacher took a picture with her kindergarten class.

🩵 A plaque remembering Eli will be placed at the new net to remember him at the playground which he loved. His classmates may be moving on to middle school next year but they will always carry Eli's memory with them and so will we.

♥️ It’s Teacher Appreciation Week, but honestly… one week doesn’t even come close.

📚 Teachers aren’t just teaching lessons out of a book. They’re showing up early, staying late, spending their own money, and carrying the emotional weight of dozens of kids every single day.

🎒 They create safe spaces where our children feel seen, heard, and valued even when the world or child’s home life might not.

🏫 They celebrate the small wins, support the tough days, and pour so much of themselves into helping kids grow both academically & as human beings.

👩‍🏫 If you know a teacher or your kid is in school, take a moment to thank them. Because behind every confident, curious, and resilient child… there’s usually a teacher who believed in and advocated for them first.

To all the teachers out there: THANK YOU SO MUCH for everything that you do for our kiddos, you’re superheroes in our book ❤️ -taken from The Cochran Fam FB post

Yesterday a few PTA members and their kids spent an hour on Sunday night to chalk the walk for our amazing teachers to start out Teacher Appreciation Week 🩷 We feel so lucky to have the teachers that we do at Shirley Hills, every single one of them is simply AMAZING and we appreciate them every single day, not just this week!!! ⭐

🎪 WOW...we are beyond thankful for the success of the 2026 Carnival and Silent Auction!!

♥️ Thank you to all of our amazing sponsors this year! Please support them in our community as they supported our school community!

♥️ Thank you to every single PTA Carnival Committee Crew volunteer for your time and dedication to making this carnival and silent auction such a success! You gave up time with your families to make sure all families could enjoy the carnival and we are so appreciative of every single one of you! It is a lot of work to put together the carnival and it wouldn't happen without the magic of the Carnival Crew!!

Special thanks to Megan Cegla for being on the carnival committee for many years, she is moving on from Shirley Hills after this year but we are so thankful for all of her knowledge and dedication over the years, she will be missed! Holly Staples who is the games chair is also moving on after this year but she'll be back in a few years with her youngest daughter!

♥️ We have included pictures of all Pet Booth winners and the most sold raffle tickets winner!! Congratulations to all winners and we hope that you enjoy your stuffies and prizes!

♥️ Lastly, thank you to all families for supporting our carnival and silent auction! Thank you to every single volunteer that worked a shift, we truly could not do it without you helping! Our school community is so amazing and we are so thankful for every single one of you!
