Kudos to everyone for finally getting this installed.

The City of Mound will be hosting a Ribbon Cutting Event on May 27, 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Dakota Trail Crosswalk on Shoreline Drive.

The installation of the crosswalk was a coordinated effort between the City of Mound, Hennepin County, and the Three Rivers Park District to improve safety.

Sadly, the only day Mound's main street gets activated is when they shut it down for a parade.

A guiding principle for this group has been making our city a better place. I've said multiple times that the school is a shining jewel of our community. People move here because of the Westonka schools.

For the Westonka School Board Election - It's important you vote for the incumbents Carlson, Davis, and Wollner. They have been part of a great team of the board in implementing solid, reasonable policy and procedures these last several years.

Challengers are not acceptable candidates for two big reasons.
1. They don't value the health of the school students and staff.
2. It's important to the challengers that the truth about US history and it's treatments of the Native American community, and people of color is ignored.

A guiding principal for me when I vote is simple. Is the candidate someone who I believe is making the world a better place? Carlson, Davis, and Wollner clearly have been, and will continue to do so.

Join WeCAN and other local resource groups at the Community Link Resource Fair on Thursday, April 28, 5 to 7 p.m. at St John's Lutheran Church of Mound, MN. This FREE event will include information, activities for the kids and refreshments.

Awesome work between Orono PD, WeCAN, and Mound True Value!

THANK YOU to the Orono Police Department for donating 17 bikes for WeCAN clients. Thanks also to Mound TrueValue, who refurbished the used bikes and delivered them to WeCAN. With biking weather just around the corner, both kids and adults will be happy to get a bike!

A newspaper advertisment called Tami Clark Pehrson to Mound’s Bethel United Methodist church, but she unexpectedly found nourishment outside, among the rows of lettuce, onions and asparagus.
