Today, the Mound Fire Department honors the memory of all those whose lives were tragically lost on September 11, 2001. This day remains etched in our hearts as we remember the immense sacrifice and bravery displayed by countless individuals.
We extend our deepest gratitude to all those who served our communities not only on that fateful day but also before and after it.
We recognize and thank police officers, EMS personnel, military members, firefighters, and first responders. These extraordinary individuals, who often put themselves in harm's way, are called upon at a moment's notice to serve and protect, leaving their loved ones behind to help others in need
