What started out in 2012 as a way to find new focus during retirment has turned into a life long passion for founder Mike Murray. We at Concrete Cares NWA volunteer as a group to bring focus on fighting cancer on the “local level.” We work as a nonprofit that hosts fundraising events in communities across America work

ing primarily within the concrete industry with decorative concrete. We allow the local concrete industry to identify a local unifying project. Pulling contractors, concrete suppliers, concrete companies, everyone in the industry together, to donate in kind materials and labor/talent to then place decorative concrete to draw attention to that need. The idea is to not necessarily break the bank, small jobs can be mighty. Integral colored concrete sidewalk, a stamped logo, a patterned patio, a new stained or stamped entryway inside or outside a facility are just a few suggestions. The facility could be a research center, medical treatment facility or even a non-medical facility if you believe it would draw more attention to your cause. Partner with the facility for press releases and publicity. The number one agenda during these events is to increase publicity for them; the secondary agenda is to promote the concept that concrete is durable and beautiful and that Concrete Cares. You would of course thank those who donated their time and talent. The overall aim of our organization is to make a difference in the local community by enabling friends, relatives and families to join the fight to provide support for those stricken with cancer. When we host events a signed banner and all proceeds are presented to a local victim selected by community members withen the area.
