💚 Thankful Thursday | National 4-H Week 💚

Today, we’re taking a moment to say THANK YOU to the incredible people who make 4-H possible! 🌟

To our 4-H volunteers, parents, leaders, educators, and staff — thank you for the countless hours, encouraging words, rides to meetings and events, late nights, early mornings, life lessons, and unwavering support you give to our youth. You help create opportunities for young people to learn, grow, lead, serve, and discover what they’re capable of. 💚

4-H is so much more than projects and activities. It’s about the people, relationships, memories, and moments that stay with us for a lifetime. And that is because of YOU!

Tag a 4-H volunteer, parent, leader, educator, or staff member who has made a difference in your life and give them a well-deserved THANK YOU! 💚🍀

The Marais des Cygnes District 4-H Family Guide & Policy for the 2026-2027 4-H year has been posted on the website: https://www.maraisdescygnes.k-state.edu/4-h-how-to-join/mdc-4h-family-guide/
Please look through this guide as it includes many important dates and requirements for Livestock, Animals, Shooting Sports and other projects. Some of the things included are tagging dates, YQCA date and requirements, and shooting sports participation requirements. We encourage you to print it or save it to your phone/computer so you can access it throughout the year.

Volunteer Sign-up
If you are a screened volunteer, you will need to enroll yourself in 4HONLINE as well. This is to keep your volunteer status up to date and going. All Clubs must have at least 2 screened volunteers at all club events so I encourage you to get screened or re-enroll.

If you are wanting to become a screened volunteer, please contact Tracy at [email protected]. She will send you the steps and help you through the 3 step process.
