Last week kids in foster care learned how growing in faith was like growing a flower. They then created flowers out of cupcake lines, spray markers, and a pipe cleaner.

During this month’s Foster Parent meeting, Lion members had a great time teaching kids the Easter story through bracelet-making. Each color of bead represents a different part of the story. Some took creative liberties in their design but many were able to recall the meaning of each original bead, so when asked, they could tell the story of Easter.

*We are aware that chronologically the purple and yellow beads should be switched, which some did in their design.

Over the last few months, our members have been serving at Foster Care training meetings by creating a church-based lesson and activity/craft for kids of all ages. The kids painted pumpkins this month and learned that a Christian is like a pumpkin.

UPDATE 9/20: The surgeries went well, Karson's vison is already improved, and the doctor is predicting no longer needing glasses!!! Way to go!!!!

The check is in the mail! We are so blessed to share in this eye surgery journey with Karson Hall. This $3,000.00 donation ensures his eye surgeries, and, hopefully, lead to his academic success.
