Today, Moultrie Service League President Brooke Blease and Vice President Anna Davis joined our community in remembrance and gratitude, laying a wreath in tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice. May we never forget the courage, service, and freedom they secured for us all.

🌷The Moultrie Service League held its annual May Luncheon and meeting May 6 at the Colquitt County Arts Center. The membership recognized the many accomplishments made by the organization over the past year, exceeding fundraising goals and launching new projects under the leadership of president Anne Swarzentruber. During the meeting, members of the outgoing Class of 2018 were honored for achieving sustainer status and newly elected officers were installed.

Also at the luncheon each year, the Moultrie Service League bestows two awards. The Service Award, elected by membership and given to a member who embodies the principles of service set forth by its founders, and who has demonstrated exemplary support of the League’s efforts over several years. Caroline Horne was recognized with this award. The second award is the President’s Bowl Award, bestowed by the outgoing president to the member who has exceptionally supported the president in her leadership. This was awarded to Maggie Patel. Congratulations ladies!

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our outgoing board members! As we mark the transition into a new chapter of leadership, we want to extend our deepest gratitude to our outgoing board members for their unwavering commitment, valuable insights, and dedicated service.

At the same time, we’re excited to welcome our 2026-2027 board members under our new president, Brooke Blease. We look forward to a great year with all your favorite events and to continue our mission to help maintain The Arts Center of Moultrie and promote art education for Colquitt County’s children. 🌷

Artie the Art Bug Drawing Contest

All elementary age children are encouraged to enter! Artwork may be completed at school or at home. A winner will be chosen from each grade level and will receive a prize basket filled with art supplies. One overall winner will be selected and will receive a basket of art supplies as well as a certificate to attend a summer art camp of their choosing at the Colquitt County Arts Center.

RULES:

• Please draw your own version of Artie on an 8.5" x 11" piece of white paper. Art submissions must be your original creation and in full color.

• Artwork should NOT have the student’s name on the front. We ask that the student’s full name, elementary school, grade level, and teacher’s name be listed on the back of the art in pencil. Entries that do not have this information listed will not be eligible for the contest.

• Please submit your drawings to your school's art teacher* by April 3rd.

• Contact Jena Willis at [email protected] with any further questions.

• Lastly, BE CREATIVE! We look forward to seeing all of the wonderful designs each student creates

Casino Night was a great success! We are so incredibly grateful for the continued support from our amazing community! Thank you for helping us to provide enriching arts education to the children of Colquitt County!

♥️♠️Feeling lucky? Casino Night is TONIGHT!!! Doors open at 6:30 PM, and tables will be open from 7:30–10:30.

We have 23 amazing raffle baskets up for grabs, along with a 50/50 raffle with a cash prize.

Tickets will be available at the door and include $300 in funny money and heavy hors d’oeuvres. A cash bar will also be available.

Our Casino Night team has been working tirelessly to make sure this event is spectacular. You don’t want to miss this incredible night for a great cause!
