🧱 LEGO Challenge Camp (2nd–5th Grade)
Put your creativity and problem-solving skills to the test with exciting LEGO challenges each day, plus plenty of time for creative free builds!

🏐🏃 Volleyball, Track & More Sports Camp (Pre-K–5th Grade)

Football/Flag Football Camp has been a blast this week. Campers have learned the fundamentals of football, but have also:
✅ Built a safe helmet for an egg. The winning design was dropped from 24 inches and did not crack!
✅ Made air dry clay pinch pots.
✅ Designed a football uniform.
✅ Planted seeds in cans campers decorated last week.
✅ Made cards for nursing home residents.

Do you have what it takes to represent Colquitt County in the GRPA District and State Tennis Tournaments? Now is your chance to compete against some of the top young tennis players from across Georgia! 🏆

🎾 Divisions: 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U & 18U
🎾 Singles, Doubles & Mixed Doubles
🎾 Top 4 in each division advance to the State Tournament

📍 District Tournament: June 29-30 in Bainbridge
📍 State Tournament: July 15-16 in Hazlehurst

🏊‍♀️💙 We’re excited to kick off Swim Lessons tomorrow at the Tommie Lee Jackson, Jr. Aquatics Center!

Our Aquatics & Programs Director, Shyanna Salas, and Swim Lesson Coordinator, Aime Reed, have been hard at work preparing for a summer full of learning, confidence-building, and water safety.

This summer, 420 children will participate in the American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim Program completely free of charge. Through this nationally recognized program, children will learn essential water safety and swimming skills that can last a lifetime.

This incredible opportunity is made possible through the support of our partners at United Way of Colquitt County, whose commitment to our community helps make swim lessons accessible to local families.

We can’t wait to welcome our swimmers, make new memories, and help build a safer summer—one lesson at a time! 🌊☀️🏊‍♂️

Today is the day for SWIM1922 Community Water Safety Day presented by the Kappa Psi Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. in partnership with MCCPRA! 🏊‍♂️💙

We are excited to welcome two incredible aquatics professionals to this FREE community event:

🌟 Tommie Lee Jackson, Jr. — the aquatic center’s namesake, former lifeguard at this very pool, and coach with 40+ years of experience coaching swimmers from beginners to Olympians.

🌟 Gwendolyn Rhenwrick — Water Safety Instructor with 20+ years of experience teaching all ages, with special focus on young swimmers, drowning prevention, and adapted aquatics.

Come enjoy water safety education, swim skills checks, rescue demos, kids activities, prizes, and more!

Facility Update: The Splash Pad will be closed today, June 5th. Looking for a way to cool off? Visit our Kiddie Pool at the Tommie Lee Jackson, Jr Aquatics Center today from 1-5 pm. Kona Ice will also be there to help you cool off. We plan to reopen the Splash Pad tomorrow.
