The arts center provides engaging arts education for children and adults, acts as a steward of permanent collections, and maintains a landmark facility that enriches the whole community.

Summer Camp Recap! 🎨🍴

Last week, our United Way DoodleToons Camp and Beginner Culinary Camp campers spent the week creating, learning, and having fun. From bringing characters to life through art to building confidence in the kitchen, these campers explored new skills, made new friends, and showed off their creativity every day.

🎨 Calling all artists! Applications are now open for The Arts Center's Annual Southern Arts Invitational, on view August 27–October 30, 2026.

Artists working in all mediums are invited to submit up to three original works for this juried regional exhibition. Cash prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.

🗓 Entry deadline: July 29, 2026

Our Executive Director, Kelly Avery, spent time in Atlanta this past week at a grant workshop hosted by Fox Gives, the community and outreach arm of the historic Fox Theater. She was able to meet with individuals from The Fox, the Georgia Council for the Arts, and the Georgia Council of Nonprofits to discuss upcoming grant opportunities. We are thankful to these partner organizations for continuing to provide both financial and consulting resources to further the arts throughout Georgia.
