We are an all-ages annual summer camp celebrating the folk music and dance of Sweden and Norway. Open to all ages. Questions and comments are welcome here!

Join us for this year's NFF at Geneva Point Center in New Hampshire, July 4 - July 11th 2026! Nordic Fiddles and Feet is a camp dedicated to the music and dance of Scandinavia (primarily Norway and Sweden) It is a magical week in the beautiful White Mountains of NH. It is an annual event dedicated to the rich and varied traditions of music and dance of Norway and Sweden. Participants take dance and/or music classes during the day and dance and play in the evening at nightly dance parties.

Did you hear that we are doubling our nyckelharpa course offerings this summer at Nordic Fiddles and Feet? We are so excited to welcome Alex Kehler to lead half of the nyckelharpa classes. Alex is a phenomenal multi-instrumentalist (and even taught us how to make fire with handmade bow-drills last summer!)

Calling all nyckelharpa-curious folk! Did you know that you can apply for an instrument loan from the American Nyckelharpa Association? The Bart Brashers Memorial Nyckelharpa Loaner Program is accepting applications until May 2nd. Five instruments are available (three full size and two 3/4 size for the young ones). Loan recipients must be based in the mainland US, register as ANA members, and commit to taking regular lessons with a nyckelharpa teacher in person or online for the loan period of five months.

Unsure about your schedule? Not a problem - just please drop a line to our registrar. We need to let GPC know how many cabins we will need to reserve, and we would love to hold a space for you just in case.

We’re so excited to welcome Arvid Furmark to Nordic Fiddles and Feet this year! Arvid is one of TWO nyckelharpa teachers this year, and will be teaching all three levels of nyckelharpa at camp. This is Arvid’s first time teaching in the US, and we are able to bring him over from Sweden with generous support from the American Scandinavian Foundation!

Why are we doubling our nyckelharpa offerings this summer? A few reasons. Our nyckelharpa class sizes, and requests for loaner nyckelharpas, have been growing steadily. We have observed that some nyckelharpa students are choosing to take classes at more than one level, which we’ve understood to mean that their appetite for nyckelharpa instruction at camp isn’t finding satisfaction with only one class per day at their level. We also note that there are few opportunities for nyckelharpa players to go in the U.S. to spend intensive time working with multiple teachers in community with one another. So, we're going to be that space!

If you play the nyckelharpa and want to see this richer program continue into the future, we ask that you come to camp this summer to show your support and help us refine our expanded program to best suit the needs of the broad North American nyckelharpa community.

We are pleased to be welcoming Mari Ormberg to Nordic Fiddles and Feet this summer to teach daily Hardingfele 2 and 3 classes!

Mari is a skillful fiddler in two traditions, Vestland and Valdres. Her expertise on the hardingfele is both wide and deep. Mari works as a performer and luthier at the Valdres Folk Museum, where she plays, designs, builds, and repairs langeleiks and hardingfeles. She will also be teaching a daily langeleik class at camp this year!

Look at them go! A throwback to Landskappleiken, and an NFF introduction to Åste Sulheim Viken and Magnhild Moen Helland, who will teach Springleik from Lom at this year’s camp.

Introducing Isabell and Malin Svärdmalm! This mother-daughter duo will be joining us at NFF this year; Isabell will teach harmony and lead the Gammaldans band, and Malin will teach a singing class and Playing for Dancing. We can’t wait!!
