WORKSHOP SPOTLIGHT!
Jayda Fisher and Marty Carrell will be teaming up for our third workshop titled "Grow and Plant: Mentoring Matters".
Jayda Fisher is a wife, mom, small business owner, and newly launched podcast host based in Mobile, Alabama. She graduated from the University of South Alabama with a Bachelor’s Degree in Radiologic Science. Outside of her degree, you can find her pursuing her passion project called "Grow And Plant," where she aims to share the message that "mentoring matters". When given the opportunity to speak, her relatable and inspiring words leave audiences feeling equipped to use their passion and make an impact in their own sphere of influence
Marty Carrell is currently the CEO of Women’s Resource Center, a non-profit faith based ministry that was established in 1984 in Mobile, Alabama. She was formerly the Executive Assistant to the Mayor of Mobile, Sandy Stimpson. Prior to working for the City of Mobile, she was the Executive Director of Claire’s Hope. Through Claire’s Hope, she began a girls' program that inspires and empowers young women to know their value and encourages them to always find ways to impact those around them. Marty has a great love for Mobile and is very passionate about being a vital part of the community. She has volunteered and has served on various boards throughout Mobile County; currently Southwest Chamber Board of Directors and previously the President of the Mobile County Council of PTAs. She was recently named Citizen of the Year within the Southwest Chamber and served in the Leadership of Mobile Class of 2022.
Marty lives in Mobile, Alabama and is married to Dow Carrell. They have three children, a son-in-law, daughter- in- law, and two grandsons.
