THIS EVENING! Main Street Mosier Open House

Beautiful weather, FREE PIZZA, LIVE MUSIC, committee tables + good neighbors — how can you beat it?!

Come join us TONIGHT from 5–7 PM on MoCo’s Upper Patio for the Main Street Mosier Open House!

Whether you’re already involved or just curious about what’s happening in our little town, come connect with neighbors, meet the volunteers behind the scenes, and learn more about the exciting possibilities ahead for Mosier.

• Meet our committee chairs and ask questions
• Share your ideas, feedback, or get involved
• Learn about membership and the many ways you can support downtown Mosier

Last week the Main Street Mosier Economic Vitality Committee hosted a Let’s Talk Business event at Highland Meadows Ranch. Mosier business owners, community members and local experts came together to discuss the state of business.

Some of our guest speakers included:
Jennifer McGlin, owner of Roots Hair Salon
Russell Hargrave, co-founder of Great River Natural Burial
Jason Hartmann, project and industry engagement manager MCEDD

Guests enjoyed w**e from Analemma Wines, Idiot's Grace Wines and Garnier Vineyards, and a beautiful snack board by Bloom Coffee & Co.

We finished the evening over a potluck, socialization and visions for business in Mosier. A very special thank you to our extraordinary hosts Mosier Mountain, and all of the time, effort and love they put into preparing their space in order to host us!

On Saturday, September 12 we celebrated the Grand Opening of Jacob’s Park. Thank you to all those who made Jacob’s Park possible for our community and all those who came out to celebrate and enjoy our newest community space! 🛹

CANCELATION ANNOUNCEMENT 📣

We are sad to share that this year’s Friday Night with the Stars event is CANCELED due to a forecast for cloudy skies tomorrow, September 11.

While we are hopeful that we can reschedule for later in the season, there is no date on the calendar at this time.

Please share this announcement with your friends, family and communities to help spread the word throughout the Gorge. And if you see a poster at your favorite coffee shop or local business, feel free to take it down.

September is a busy month in Mosier! We hope you’ll join us at one or more of our upcoming community events.

🔭 Friday 9/11 | 7-10PM
Friday Night with the Stars
An annual family friendly event held in partnership with Rose City Astronomers. Swing by BLOOM coffee for sandwiches and drinks, or pack a picnic for the lawn. Activities begin at 7pm, viewing begins at 8pm.

🛹 Saturday 9/12 | 12-5PM
Skate Park Grand Opening
An afternoon celebrating Mosier’s newest park! There will be food and live music, in addition to an action, raffle and demonstrations.

🎙️Wednesday 9/16 | 5:30-8PM
Let’s Talk Business
A roundtable discussion held by the Economic Vitality committee, local business owners and regional guest speakers. Mayor Witt Anderson will also provide an update on business in the City of Mosier.

🌱Thursday 9/17 | 6:30PM
Rush Skeletonweed Community Education Night
An evening dedicated to learning about, identifying and stopping the spread of Rush Skeletonweed, an invasive plant threatening Mosier’s wildflowers. Guest speakers will include local experts, Humble Roots Nursery and Mosier community members.

You’re invited to join local experts and community members for an evening to learn and talk about Rush Skeletonweed, a silent invader threatening Mosier area wildflower meadows and properties.

You will learn how to identify rush skeletonweed and different methods of controlling it, including important measures that can be taken in late summer & fall.

Brad Mead, Columbia Land Trust land steward and steering committee member of the Columbia Gorge Cooperative W**d Management Area, will lead a presentation, followed by a panel discussion with area experts including:
Wasco County W**d Master (Wasco County Soil & Water
Conservation District)
Friends of the Columbia Gorge Land Trust
Humble Roots Nursery
+ Mosier community members who will share their knowledge and experience from years of working to stop rush skeletonweed from spreading.

Snacks and drinks will be provided.
