As president of the WSTA, I failed to mention our secretaryโ€™s name on our last letter. So with all due respect to Ms. Betty Martinez, Thank you for all you did to help us during the time you shared with the team. Please except my apologies, Viola๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’œ

To all our supporters, friends, family and scholars this letter comes with a heavy heart. As you are all aware, the 21st will be our last dance at the Eagles.
WSTA has been around since 2009. Started by a group of families that had moved to Moses lake to work. They would get together in the summer for the โ€œtejano reunionโ€ to talk about what had happened during the year. 3 years later, they started fundraisers in hopes to give scholarships to our โ€œtejanoโ€ students. Through the years we have been able to help with 20 some scholarships.
With the help of all of you, Rickโ€™s, The Eagles, The Elks( when we had it) , remember the Moose Lodge? Past board members, and all the great DJโ€™s. We could not have done it without you.
This was all about keeping the tejano roots alive. Share your stories with your kids, grandkids. Donโ€™t let them forget what our elders went through to get them where they are today.

So on behalf of WSTA, Thank you for all the support and keep tejano alive๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿ•บ๐Ÿฝ
