Today marked the start of the 2026 ArtsWA Conference, and we're honored to have artists, creatives, community leaders, and Creative District representatives from across Washington State visiting Moses Lake through tomorrow afternoon.

We were especially proud that the Moses Lake Creative District and Washington State Arts Commission invited our Executive Director, Mallory Miller, to speak on behalf of the Downtown Moses Lake Association during this mornings programming.

One of the messages shared during her remarks was that downtowns and creative districts don't just happen. They are built through vision, collaboration, and countless hours invested by passionate people who care deeply about their communities. Every mural, event, business, public space, and gathering place exists because someone chose to invest their time, talent, and energy into making their community stronger.

Come join us tonight, for the OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, Sip & Chat with ArtsWA at Brewing Co from 6:30-7:30pm.

📍 Special thanks to our downtown businesses who offered discounts for conference attendees with their ArtsWA badges:

There's a reason that every stump speech these days includes reference to the importance of "Main Street businesses" and "Mom and Pop": small businesses are both the backbone of our local economies AND are up against disadvantages that range from access to capital and banking barriers to competing for attention in an increasingly busy and corporate-dominated marketplace.

While Main Street America's recent small business survey gives reasons for metered hope, Washington's small businesses are lagging behind national
averages when it comes to confidence in future success. According to this
data, Washington's businesses continue to experience lower revenue and
higher expenses for doing business, demonstrating that support is more
critical than ever. The good news is that small businesses located in Main
Street districts reported higher confidence scores than those not supported
by a local Main Street organization.

Main Street is consistently a trusted resource, if not an actual lifeline, to
small businesses. A 2021 study showed that businesses located in
Washington Main Street districts rebounded from the pandemic at a faster
rate than businesses located in similar environments but without the
presence of a Main Street organization. During economic uncertainty, small
businesses depend upon Main Street as a rooted and trusted connection to
resources and strategy.

Today is the LAST DAY to get Crisp Salad Co. in Moses Lake! Go get your salads and support them on their last day open. We will seriously miss you as our next door neighbors!

After 5 incredible years, we’ve made the difficult decision not to renew our lease and will be closing our Crisp Salad Co. Moses Lake location with a tentative last day of June 10th.

We’re so grateful for the support from this incredible community — it has truly meant everything to us 💚

If you have a gift card, please use it at our Moses Lake location before June 10th (they will not be valid in Wenatchee).

After June 10th, we’d love to continue serving you at our Wenatchee location — but we hope to see you a few more times in Moses Lake before we say goodbye!

We’re also so excited to see another local business step into this space and continue serving our community so stay tuned for that 🤍

The Moses Lake Creative District is a designated, walkable space where creative businesses serve as a cultural hub for our community, bringing people together to experience local arts and dining.
