Come get your hands dirty with us! We can use your help to transplant 1,100 native plant seedlings into pots for the John Crock Learning Nursery. Plants potted this fall will be available in 2027 for our restoration projects as well as for public sale.

Join us Monday, October 5 to Friday, October 9, 10:00am to 2:00pm. Sign up on our Give Pulse site (givepulse.com/group/events/242723) or just drop in!

Volunteers of ages and abilities are welcome, though we ask that children are accompanied by an adult. For group volunteering, please contact us at [email protected].

It's a beautiful day to explore nature at our Little Roots Playgroup! Join us at the Palouse Nature Center (1040 Rodeo Dr., Moscow) today and on future Mondays at 10:30am for stories, music, movement, and playtime for your little one. We're so happy to have AmeriCorps member Liv on board as our new Education, Outreach, and Volunteer Coordinator! Liv has jumped right in and is busy attending events, creating educational materials, leading field trips, organizing volunteer programs, and even helping build beaver dam analogs at one of our restoration sites.

Liv also oversees our Little Roots Playgroup, which meets Mondays at 10:30am at the Nature Center (1040 Rodeo Dr., Moscow). Fun fact: Liv helps at Palouse Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation, so she sometimes brings turtles to interact with kids at Little Roots or other kids programming.🐢 Join Liv for playgroup, or say hi if you see her at the Nature Center!

It's a great day when Co-op Kids come explore the Nature Center! Liv, our AmeriCorps member, brought Dot, a tortoise she's helping take care of. The kids loved watching Dot walk around at a surprisingly quick pace! Co-op Kids also hiked to the orchard to pick some plums, did a scavenger hunt, and played at the playground.

Co-op Kids is a free activity program of the Moscow Food Co-op for ages 5 and under. They meet Wednesdays from 9-10am—normally at the Co-op but sometimes offsite. See moscowfood.coop/coop-kids for more information about this great group!

Families are always welcome at the Palouse Nature Center (1040 Rodeo Dr. in Moscow), which is open dawn to dusk 7 days a week. Happy Friday!

This weekend we remember those lost 25 years ago on September 11, 2001. Pictured is the plaque adjacent to the memorial grove that PCEI planted many years ago along the Chipman Trail to signify our community's support of international understanding.
