Join us for a morning of birds, beauty, and discovery!

On Saturday,June 27th from 10:30am–noon, we’re excited to host a special Seasonal Wanderings adventure with our friends from the Palouse Audubon Society! Our Seasonal Wanderings events are geared toward families with children, but this one is also perfect for adults interested in birding.

Come explore the great outdoors on a guided bird walk, where we’ll learn to identify local species, listen for bird calls, and discover the fascinating lives of our feathered neighbors. Whether you’re a seasoned birder or just curious about what’s chirping in your backyard, this is a perfect way to connect with nature.

What to expect:
• A relaxed, family-friendly bird walk
• Learning about local bird species and habitats
• Creative nature-inspired art activities
• Fun bird-themed games for all ages

Bring comfortable walking shoes, water, and your sense of wonder! Binoculars encouraged (we’ll have a few to share). Seasonal Wanderings is $15 for members and $30 for nonmembers. Please register at pcei.org/events/sw-birds.

Let’s wander, learn, and celebrate the season together. See you there!

Our lost and found is overflowing, and we'll be donating these items on Wednesday if they're not claimed before then! Stop by the Palouse Nature Center's main office porch to pick up what's yours. If you see one of your items but can't make it by Wednesday, call us at 208-882-1444 or email [email protected] and we'll hold it for you.

We love having visitors to the Nature Center—just try to take your items with you when you leave. 😊 But if you forget, we hold everything for at least a month, so you can swing back by to pick it up!
