A steep ramp can be more than inconvenient. It can become a barrier. Last week our Ramps & Rails crew traveled to Plummer to replace a ramp that wasn't safe for caregivers, visitors, or emergency responders.

The project started before sunrise with warehouse prep. Volunteers built ramp modules, stained lumber, loaded trucks, and prepared materials for the trip. Then the crew headed to Plummer to construct a new 40-foot accessible ramp and platform.

A huge thank you to Brendan, Brent, Adrian, Larry, Giovanni, Lynne, and the entire team that made this project possible. Special thanks to Giovanni for keeping the crew fueled with pulled pork sandwiches, chips, cake, and drinks!

Accessibility changes lives, and volunteers make it happen. ❤️

What happens after the auction ends? The memories begin. 🎭✨

Last night, 14 community members gathered in a private home to enjoy a truly unique Beans 'n' Jeans auction experience: an intimate at-home performance by The Neighborhood Theatre Troupe.

This one-of-a-kind auction item transformed a living room into a stage, bringing local performers, live theater, delicious desserts, and plenty of laughter together for an unforgettable evening.

Experiences like these are what make Beans 'n' Jeans so special. They're more than auction items. They're opportunities to connect, support a mission, and create lasting memories while helping Palouse Habitat for Humanity build homes, community, and hope.

Progress is rolling right along in Palouse! 🏠🔨

Last week our construction crew installed windows and exterior doors at Jeffery's future home, completed the rough-in plumbing, and began work on siding trim and soffits.

This week they're pushing forward on siding and making the most of the cooler days before the forecast heats up. Every nail, board, and volunteer hour brings this house one step closer to home.

Ramps & Rails Recap 🛠️💙

Last week was another great example of what happens when neighbors come together to make a difference.

The week began in the warehouse, where volunteers built platforms, handrails, and prepared materials for upcoming projects. New tools and a recently donated dust collection system helped turn rough lumber into smooth, ready-to-install components.

Midweek, the team installed a 22-foot ramp for a resident in a local mobile home community. With limited space at the front entrance, volunteers worked together to create a safe, accessible solution from the rear of the home.

One of the best moments of the week was driving past a ramp built in 2023 and seeing it still serving its homeowner. It's a reminder that these projects do more than improve access.

Thank you to every volunteer, donor, and community partner who helps make this work possible. Together, we're building hope, one ramp at a time. ❤️
