ICYMI: Over 150 scientists are speaking out against attempts to overturn protections for the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument in Utah. They're calling on Congress to oppose any attempt to overturn protections for the beloved monument. Its fossil record, ecological diversity, and cultural resources make it indispensable to scientific discovery and a testament to our shared history as a nation.

The letter states: “As scientists, researchers, and educators from across the United States, we write to reaffirm our deep concern regarding threats to the scientific integrity, management, and long-term protection of Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. The Utah delegation’s reckless gambit to toss out the monument’s management plan...risks...the future of research and scientific discovery in this unique landscape.”

We recently hosted our first highway cleanup in Moscow! It was hard work, but we made a big impact by filling about 16 trash bags with roadside garbage. Thanks to our great team of volunteers for showing up and lending a helping hand this Earth Month. Stay tuned for another highway cleanup later this year!

Guess what's back again....our sliding-scale Wilderness First Aid Certification Course with NOLS—in Moscow AND Boise! 🩹🥾

Prepare for the unexpected with this engaging, hands-on introduction to wilderness medicine, taught over 2 days. 🌲 This is a particularly great training for people who want to help lead overnight or backcountry Sierra Club Outings with us! 🏞️

This course is appropriate for people of all experience levels. You'll learn the Patient Assessment System and how to provide effective first aid treatments for common outdoor injuries and ailments!
