The Palouse Sprint Triathlon is a sprint distance triathlon held in Moscow, Idaho every fall.

New for 2019: a Duathlon option (run, bike, run).

Are you interested on volunteering with the PST?

We are looking for two coordinators for next year's tri!

Role 1: Equipment Manager - This position requires a truck. It entails about two hours of work on the Friday before the race, picking up and dropping off equipment (candlesticks, cones, vests to T1 and T2). Then, on Saturday after the race, picking up the bike course signage, releasing volunteers, and taking the T2 equipment back to the shop (2-3 hours on race day). You could still do the race.

Role 2: Run Course Manager -- This position entails about 1 hour of work before race day and 2-3 hours of work on race day. You set up the course on race day morning (using either Palouse Road Runners or City materials) and then check in with the Lions volunteers. You would also take down the signage at the end and return it to PRR/city. You can still participate in the race.

These positions (as with all PST positions) are not paid. We are all volunteers. That said, you will have your race entry compensated.

Dear Racers,

First, we want to apologize for the delay in posting the results. The folks we hire to do the timing system had some challenges and have spent the last few days trying to fix missing data using their back up systems.

We have posted the overall results for the triathlon and duathlon to the PST website (palousetri.com). There is still some missing data. We are terribly sorry to see this but unfortunately it is out of our hands.

We will be posting the age group results as soon as we can - we have to move around some folks based on the birth year practice of USAT triathlon (the system used by the timers uses birthday). [We are all volunteers, so this is on top of our jobs and family responsibilities.]

Finally, we want to thank you all for an amazing race day. We would not have this event, nor would it be such fun, if it wasn't for you. What a wonderful community we are a part of!

Nate asked me to let you all know that students from the UofI ISMaRT clinic will have an athletic trainer station on race day if you need race day help (cramps, tightness, bodywork, trainer help).

They reportedly saved Nate’s race one year when he cramped up 15 min before his heat started! Heroes I tell you!

Hi racers!

The chips are programmed and the bags are stuffed. The shirts are beautiful, if I do say so myself.

We have about twice as many participants this year as compared to last and we do not have enough canvas bags to give everyone two (which we normally do). Everyone will get a bag for T1 when they check in. If you have a canvas tote bag you can use in T2 (should you need a bag at T2) then please bring it on Saturday.

We have also gotten several questions about Mountainview’s construction near the pool. We’ve been told by the city that they are paving today and we will have full use of the road. 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼
